She was the sweetest little thing.

Look at that smile!

The bunny photos are a tradition with the family.

I was so happy to have had the chance to take these

newborn photos since I took her mommy’s maternity portraits

in my Longview, WA studio a few months before.

That is what I first thought when I had the pleasure of

meeting little Dosain. Doesn’t he have gorgeous big bright eyes?

Love them…he seemed so curious through out his entire newborn

photo session. His wonderful and proud parents brought him into my

portrait studio a couple months ago. I posted a preview on facebook right away

and am just getting the chance to blog him.

He was a wonderful subject and so calm.

He totally loved being wrapped up…I called him

my little sushi wrap…cause that is what he reminded me of.

Ha …even though I don’t like sushi.

So here he is in all his newborn goodness.

Gotta love those little toes.

PS. That necklace he was gripping onto…was given to his

daddy by his grandpa…when I heard that I knew we had to

incorporate it into a couple of shots.

They quickly became favorites.

Lets just say I have been super busy and somehow missed blogging

I always post a preview the night of a session or the next day.

So Presley is 12 days old in these photos and just too adorable.

His auntie brought back this I ♥ New York outfit for him from the

Big Apple.  Isn’t this family just too cute!!!

You may remember me shooting the New Years Eve wedding

for the lovely couple. Then again you may not. lol

Well enough rambling…here is the lil cutie.

She was such a tiny lil thing for her age.

Bristol was born premature at 4 lbs 5 oz and 17 3/4 inches long.

Surprisingly she was ready with no complications.

She got to go home very quickly even at her small size.

She was a joy to photograph in my studio.

Full of smiles…just how I like them.

Her mommy even brought in matching homemade tie dyed shirts.

Cadence just turned one and her mom who is another photographer

brought her into my studio for a cake smash session.

I was there and figured I should get some pics too.

Her mom Brenda of Woodland told me it was a ok to use these

for my portfolio. Yay. Thanks girl.

I love newborns because they are so cuddly and cute.

They don’t move much or run away.

They don’t shy away from the camera.

They just are there and ready to model.

Yesterday I had the joyful job of taking photos of the newest member of the family,

a sweet little girl named Emma who was seven days old. Emma was so cute I didn’t even mind

that she went to the bathroom twice on my blankets. lol. To the wash they went and on we shot.

Emma’s mommy and aunt made the cute floral headbands she wore. I loved them!

Emma didn’t like to be in her birthday suit all that much and she wasn’t about to go to sleep

and stay there. Nope she was too curious to sleep so we got a lot of cute shots with her

beautiful eyes open.

Kaden is Julies ( My last maternity session ) firstborn son. He is beautiful Julie congrats on becoming a mommy. He also just happens to be Ambers ( My latest Senior Portrait Session ) nephew since she is indeed Julies younger sister. Small world folks. Congrats Amber on becoming an Aunty you will enjoy getting to spoil Kaden and send him back to his folks. lol. That’s your job and all as an Aunt.

I may not specialize in newborns but as you can see I still do take them. I love the challenge of newborn photography, it is a completely different ballgame than adults but they are fun!

I took this pic in January thinking we would be saying goodbye then…but that didn’t happen. This poor binky was mangled and the tip was barely hanging on by a thread of rubber but they still used it. lol. Boys!

Mr. “B” – Jason- went to school and grew up over in Clatskanie OR and wanted to have that be a part of their session so I gladly made the drive over. We got some great photographs over at the Middle/High school first and then headed down to Mayger beach. Not sure if I spelled that right. It is right across from Longviews Willow Grove and you could see and hear people across the river playing. There was an old run down building that he believed used to be a cannery but was blocked off from the public for safety reasons. Trust me it definately looked unsafe or I would have been all over it. It made for a nice backdrop in the photos anyways.

Little Thatcher didn’t want to be held much once we got to the sand….after I was happy with what I had gotten we let him down to play….he was just amazed at the sand…feeling it and eventually tasting it…which he didn’t seem to like in the end. I tried to stop him but failed….but got a great picture of his reaction afterwards and it wasn’t a happy one. I never said the Columbia River tasted good. Ha! He was great through the whole session, well as great as we can expect a 13 month old to be. His smile was so cute and warmed my heart.

We put him in the car to warm up and shot some couple shots since the last time they had any taken was in Vegas when they got married and the quality wasn’t there.

Alexa was such a pleasant and happy baby she was a true joy to work with. Six months is that inbetween age when some babies can’t yet sit up by themselves very long and can barely crawl but are scooter and rollers. It was funny to watch her scoot her way along right back up to me and her mom right after one of us placed her where she needed to be. Through it all I got a lot of great photographs of the little princess.

Congrats Anna and Steve!

First off is Zeke he just turned 2 in Jan and his hobbies are climbing and grabbing peoples ears.

Second we have Kai he just turned 3 in January. His hobbies are playing with trains and walking around saying things like, “That’s beautiful and Woo hooo!”

Last but not least is Kiana. She just turned 6 in March. This picture was taken right after she opened a present and found only clothes and no toys in it! I was cracking up and had my camera ready knowing this moment would surely come! Her hobbies are playing online games at nickjr.com and barbie.com, drawing and playing with barbies.
