Class of 2011 Toutle WA Senior Rep – Abby

Hey everyone meet Abby! She is my Senior Representitive for Toutle highschool this year.

We chose to do her senior portrait shoot down in Castle Rock,WA since there is a lot of variety there.

We started downtown and just walked around shooting here and there and getting to know eachother.

Then we went down to the Cowlitz river banks and had some more fun. She even braved the cold water.:)

Our last stop was a beautiful open field by the 4 Corners store. We had a little scare as an unleashed dog

started barking at us but we just walked far away from it quickly and it left us alone. Whew!

Who knew that the payphone would need to be tapped in little ol’ Castle Rock?

Thanks Abby for being a wonderful model for the day! You were fun to hang out with.:)

Enjoy your preview and Represent!:)

The “R” Family – Photographer in Longview, Washington

Last week I got my yearly family portraits taken down at Willow Grove in Longview by my friend and fellow photographer Krista Richardson. We had fun and I can’t wait to see all the wonderful shots she got for us. So with that being said yesterday I had the pleasure of taking Krista’s family photos for the year in downtown Longview. There is just so much you can do with the downtown area with all of its colorful walls and alleys I just love it. I used a mix of natural and off camera flash for their session and am very pleased with how the photos have turned out.

Thanks for letting me photograph you and your loved ones Krista! I will upload these to FaceBook soon. Hope you love these…I do!

Fantastic!

Schona, I LOVE them! The ones in front of the Brits almost make me cry…so many memories there for us. These are even better than our wedding pics…hmm…maybe we can do a trash the dress session??? lol. Seriously, though, I’m so excited right now and I can’t wait to see the rest…and finish working on yours! Thank you!

Love the textures!! Having lived in Longview for almost 17 years, all of these areas are so familiar to me, and you’re right, they are colorful and wonderful.

That baby? She’s tasty!!

And I love the sillhouette picture.

All told, another fantastic job, Schona!

awesome Schona! These are great! LOVE the first one and the silhouette shot…they will treasure these for sure! :)

Matt + Gabbie – Longview Wa Wedding Photographer

Wow! What a perfectly beautiful day for a wedding. The sun was shining and the sky was as blue as blue can be without a rain cloud in sight. Matt & Gabbie had their ceremony over at Valley Christian Church in Longview on Saturday the 26th, 2010. I had never been inside before so it was a first for me.:)My assistant Carlo and I arrived at 1:30 and we shot some getting ready photos along with all of the family formals before the ceremony. The ceremony was short and sweet and before we knew it, the ceremony was over and off to the reception we went.

The reception was held at the Monticello Hotel in Longview which is a beautiful place if I must say so myself. While everyone else got settled in and mingled we went across the street to the park and got some awesome shots of just the bride and groom. These are always my favorite and the ones that always get hung up on the walls to be looked at through the years.:)Luckily there was shade or we probably would not have been out there very long at all because it was hot hot hot!

Afterwards we went into the ballroom where the wedding party and all of the guests were waiting. We spent the next couple of hours getting all of the important shots such as first dance, cutting the cake, garter and bouquet toss and then the guests getting their boogy on down on the dancefloor. Good times.

I even got sent home with some cake for my kids…so sweet. Thanks!

Well here is the first preview: The bridal party and the shots of the Bride and Groom at the park.

More to come soon so keep checking back.

Feel free to leave warm wishes for the happy couple below the slideshow.

Thanks for stopping by!

Quick Update – Longview WA Photographer

Wow what a month we have had!

First my hubby and I found out our youngest son couldn’t handle any dairy. Not even lactose free.

That really caught us off guard. Then we found out that he can’t have: Whole wheat, egg yolks, lentils, peas, peanuts and soy!

Along with the fact that the Dr. told us he is on the Austism Spectrum. Wow!

So as you can imagine there has been a lot of researching, diet changing and lots of hugs going on.

I made a blog for my little Zeke and his adventures. Feel free to go on this ride with us!

I am shooting Matt and Gabbie’s wedding today so that is exciting!

I will continue to play catch up with my 52 week photography challenge and any new pics I have.

21 of 52 – Rainbow – 52 Week Photography Challenge

We went up to Mt St Helens for something to do since it was a pretty nice day outside. Well the drive was great but when we got up there we had less than an hour before the visitor center closed and the Mt was cloud covered. Well we watched the little movie they show and looked around for the rest of the time. On our way back down to civilization it was sunny, then snowed then rained. We were crossing a bridge and just as I was gonna take a picture I saw the rainbow. I yelled for him to slow down for me…my first shot was overexposed so I readjusted my settings and just in time got another shot in before we missed it due to trees. I was amazed at this shot and still am. I think it is my most fave scenic photo I have ever taken. Love it!
